This project has been one of the most important and impactful in our company’s history.

Commmercial Building Contractor A.J. Martini
AJ Martini
His Story:

Massachusetts-based AJ Martini was hit hard by the recession requiring a fair number of layoffs. The empty desks were depressing–a daily reminder of the tough economy–so the company made the vacant work spaces available to “guests” unemployed architects and engineers for just a $50 monthly contribution to the utility bill.  The move has created some amazing results. Out of work architects Dan Broggi (49) and David Burton (53) grabbed two of the desks and started their own firm. They said being around like-minded professionals everyday really helped them get the get the business off the ground.

Another success: AJ Martini was hired to build a science lab in a school. The client wanted a design/build team–so Martini looked among the “guests” and selected Jansen Chang to do the project–and is now collaborating with him on other projects.
